Channel 9 has announced that casting for the third season of My Mum Your Dad has officially begun, even as viewers eagerly await the premiere of its second season.
The series, produced by ITV Studios Australia, offers a novel take on the dating game for single parents.
At the core of the show is an intriguing twist: the single parents believe they are getting advice from professional dating consultants.
In reality, however, their adult children are the ones guiding them in their quest for love. The initiative aims to add a unique emotional depth to the process of finding new romantic partners for these parents.
The series invites applications from parent-child duos who can commit to filming for three weeks consecutively in January and/or February 2024. All participants must be at least 18 years of age.
The casting notice urges, “Kids, do you have a single parent who deserves another shot at love? Or are you a single parent with 18+ kids looking for love?”
Season one concluded with an emotional climax, leaving viewers optimistic for the participating couples. Darren and Petula, Roe and Carole, Heath and Michelle, and Shane and Kristy all took part in a Blessing Ceremony. This significant moment revealed whether their children approved of their budding romances, effectively putting their relationships’ futures into their kids’ hands.
Unfortunately, you can’t look like a dropped pie. So I’m out. 🤪
