Tuesday Ratings | THE VOICE AUSTRALIA and RFDS lead the way for Seven

The 8:30pm-ish timeslot continues to be a real battleground on Tuesdays.


Channel 7

Home & Away (457,000) built neatly into another competitive episode of The Voice Australia (662,000) which slid back in front to take the primetime win. The season two premiere of RFDS (378,000) took the later slot (and will likely see a solid boost in Total TV next week). Ambulance: Code Red (153,000) and Chicago Fire (36,000) carried smaller audiences into the late evening. The first semi-final FIFA Women’s World Cup: ESP v SWE (486,000) sets a big stage for Wednesday night.

Seven first in both primary (23.5%) and network (38.4%) rankings.

Channel 9

A Current Affair (586,000) led Nine’s night and offered a great lead-in for The Block (597,000) which managed second place though nearly 100k behind Seven. The Hundred with Andy Lee (333,000) was relegated to second place in a tight later race. Botched (146,000) and See No Evil (54,000) lifted and tucked in a way you probably best don’t want to know.

Nine second in both primary (18.8%) and network (25.8%) rankings.


ABC

7:30 (396,000) and the season seven premiere of Kitchen Cabinet (340,000) landed third in primetime for the ABC, before the premiere of short-run series The Soundtrack of Australia (204,000) from Dr Ann Jones. Our Vietnam War (168,000) and a repeat of Four Corners (27,000) filled out the schedule

ABC third in both primary (10.1%) and network (14.5%) rankings.


Channel 10

10’s night continued the up/down/up/down trend, starting with The Project (160,000 6:30pm; 237,000 7pm) and then bent to a repeat of The Dog House Australia (169,000) which maintained its fourth place in the slot. The Cheap Seats (317,000) picked things up however it was pushed into third before repeats of NCIS (133,000) and NCIS: Hawaii (59,000) saw the audience diminish again.

10 fourth in both primary (8.2%) and network (14.3%) rankings.

SBS

Great Coastal Railway Journeys (103,000) opened the night for SBS, before the current affairs staples Insight (97,000) and Dateline (71,000) delivered the goods.

SBS fifth in both primary (3.3%) and network (6.9%) rankings.


KEY DEMOS

16-39: FIFA Women’s World Cup: ESP v SWE (128,000) beat The Block, Seven News 6:30pm/6pm, and The Voice Australia.

18-49: FIFA Women’s World Cup: ESP v SWE (195,000) led The Block, Seven News 6pm/6:30pm, and The Voice Australia.

25-54: The Block (256,000) was followed by FIFA Women’s World Cup: ESP v SWE, Seven News 6pm/6:30pm, and Nine News 6:30pm.

One change to the previous week’s primetime line-up after the Total TV figures were added: The Block (Nine) lifted 51% to 1,198,000; The Voice Australia (Seven) lifted 28% to 1,196,000; and The Dog House Australia rpt (10) lifted 5% to 308,000.

The BVOD best were The Block (267,000), The Voice Australia (185,000), and Home and Away (130,000).
