Amidst the swirling rumours of his departure, Scott Cam, the beloved face of ‘The Block’, has put all speculations to rest.

Speaking at the launch event in Melbourne, he robustly confirmed that he isn’t leaving his beloved show or the Nine Network anytime soon.

“Look, I know there’s chatter suggesting I am on my way out of The Block. Those rumours are simply not true,”

The host revealed he recently inked a long-term deal with the 9Network, ensuring fans will continue to see him at the helm of the show.

“Unfortunately for those keen to see less of me, I’m not going anywhere. We’re raring to go!”

Cam, who’s already completed an astounding 17 seasons of The Block and clinched a Gold Logie, expressed his deep-seated passion for the show’s essence.

“There’s something truly magical about transforming a 1950s home into something awe-inspiring in mere months. That’s the essence of The Block for me,”

His commitment to the show is palpable, and his enthusiasm remains undiminished. He relishes the fact that the show is always evolving, stating,

The Block keeps me enthralled. Each season feels fresh with changing sets and unpredictable weather patterns.”

For the ardent fans and families tuning in from their living rooms, this year promises to be extra special. Scott hinted at the aspirational nature of the new season,

“We’re focusing on revamping family homes, taking them to a new level of grandeur. I believe families will see a bit of their dreams in these houses and feel inspired.”

Reflecting on the upcoming season situated on Melbourne’s Charming Street in Hampton East, Cam mentioned that it encapsulated everything he adores about the show.

“This season was an absolute delight to be a part of,”

he revealed. In contrast to the previous year, which was marred by unfavourable weather, making it challenging for everyone, this year was a tad less taxing for Cam.
