Tuesday Ratings | HUNTED AUSTRALIA smashes Seven and Nine’s reality finales

Look, they were diabolical, and we shouldn’t talk about them any more.


Channel 9

A Current Affair (683,000) ran out as Nine’s best before the finale of Rush (270,000) which managed to slide into a tied distant third place in primetime. The World Aquatics Championships – Finals (225,000) dropped into See No Evil (59,000) in the late night.

Nine first in primary (18.6%) and tired first in network (26.9%) rankings.

Channel 7

Seven leant into the night with Home & Away (452,000) as their best by a country mile as the finale of Million Dollar Island Australia (270,000) finishes as it started (with a very small audience), though tied for a distant third place in the slot. US dramas The Rookie (154,000), The Rookie: Feds (96,000), and The Blacklist (36,000) completed the night consistent with how it began.

Seven second in primary (17.3%) and tied first in network (26.9%) rankings.


ABC

7:30 (457,000) and New Leash On Life (309,000) led the night for the ABC, chased down by the return of War On Waste (415,000). Repeats of Louis Theroux Interviews Bear Grylls (204,000) and Four Corners (48,000) close out the night.

ABC third in primary (13.3%) and fourth in network (18.9%) rankings.


Channel 10

10’s night kicked off with a slightly weaker The Project (179,000 6:30pm; 282,000 7pm) and built into Hunted Australia (426,000) which easily took the primetime win against weak finales on the other commercial networks. The Cheap Seats (328,000) also brought home the timeslot win following, with repeats of NCIS (101,000), NCIS: Hawaii (53,000), and the finale of Riptide (DNR) filling out the schedule.

10 fourth in primary (11.6%) and third in network (19.1%) rankings.

SBS

Great Coastal Railway Journeys (156,000) kicked off SBS’s night, followed by Insight (98,000) and Dateline (50,000).

SBS fifth in both primary (4.3%) and network (8.2%) rankings.


KEY DEMOS

16-39: Nine News 6pm (97,000) beat Hunted Australia, Nine News 6:30pm, and Seven News 6pm/6:30pm.

18-49: Hunted Australia (179,000) led Seven News 6pm/6:30pm, Nine News 6pm, and The Cheap Seats.

25-54: Seven News 6pm (235,000) was followed by Seven News 6:30pm, Hunted Australia, and Nine News 6pm/6:30pm.


MULTI-CHANNELS

The Coroner – PM (109,000) gifts a multi-channel win to 7TWO.

One change to the previous week’s primetime line-up after the Total TV figures were added: Hunted Australia (10) lifted 37% to 849,000; Million Dollar Island Australia (Seven) lifted 37% to 536,000; and Rush (Nine) lifted 37% to 455,000.

The BVOD best were Home and Away (132,000) and Hunted Australia (128,000).
