Breakfast TV personality Karl Stefanovic and property tycoon Richard Weinberg have collaborated to form Karlinberg Entertainment.

Their first venture is a promising partnership with producers CJZ for an original Stan documentary series following the journey of the Australian Rugby Union team, the Wallabies.

The three-part series, currently untitled, promises unparalleled access to the Wallabies as they embark on their quest to conquer the 2023 Rugby World Cup under the guidance of returning master coach Eddie Jones. This exclusive documentary is the first of its kind in three decades, offering audiences an intimate view of the team’s preparations and performance.

In collaboration with Rugby Australia, the production company CJZ, and the newly formed Karlinberg Entertainment, Stan Australia has started filming the series, which will accompany the team through their training sessions, team camps, dressing rooms, and games in the lead-up to and throughout the tournament in France.

The documentary will feature Wallabies stars such as co-captains Michael Hooper and James Slipper, fan-favourite Taniela Tupou, veteran Nic White, towering lock Nick Frost, dynamic prop Allan Alaalatoa, and young talent Carter Gordon, providing unique insights into their lives and mindset.

Stefanovic, who co-founded Karlinberg Entertainment, emphasised the high stakes for Australian rugby, hinting that audiences will enjoy front-row access to all developments.

“Absolutely everything is on the line for Australian rugby’s future in the coming seasons. From the boardroom to the boots, it’s an all in full court press for survival.

It starts here. And viewers will have a front row seat to it all.“

Stan’s Chief Content Officer, Cailah Scobie, expressed her excitement about the partnership and the opportunity to bring viewers an unfiltered view of one of Australia’s most cherished sports teams in their pursuit of a third Webb Ellis Cup.

Nick Murray, Managing Director and Co-Founder of CJZ, also spoke enthusiastically about the opportunity to work with Karlinberg Entertainment, appreciating the privilege to tell the inside story of the Wallabies and Eddie Jones.

Currently in production, the untitled three-part documentary series is anticipated to offer compelling viewing, revealing real stories and personalities at the heart of Australian Rugby’s crucial journey.
