Streaming platform Stan has confirmed the Australian premiere date for the highly anticipated new series, “The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon.”
The show, featuring Norman Reedus reprising his role as the titular Daryl Dixon, will debut on September 11, streaming in Australia simultaneously with the U.S.
This exciting new spinoff sees Reedus’s character, Daryl Dixon, navigating a post-apocalyptic France. Washed ashore with no memory of how he arrived, Dixon quickly becomes embroiled in local conflicts. His presence stirs tensions among leaders of an emerging autocracy based in Paris, and he finds himself the unexpected guardian of a young boy central to a peaceful religious group, the Union of Hope.
Promised a return passage to America in exchange for protecting the boy and his custodians to their sanctuary, The Nest, Dixon finds his determination to return home challenged by the unexpected bonds he forms during this perilous journey.
“Daryl Dixon” is the second of three exclusive series from The Walking Dead Universe to land on Stan. It follows “The Walking Dead: Dead City,” which is already streaming on the platform, and precedes the untitled series focusing on Rick and Michonne, set for a 2024 release.
Co-starring Clémence Poésy (The Essex Serpent) and Adam Nagaitis (Red Rose), “The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon” deepens Stan’s commitment to bringing high-quality, exclusive content from The Walking Dead Universe to Australian audiences.
