Apple TV+ has unveiled a captivating sneak peek into the much-anticipated third season of its award-winning drama, “Morning Wars.”
Executive-produced and headlined by Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston, season three is set to make its global premiere on Wednesday, 13 September.
The new season will debut with the first two episodes of its ten-episode run, further building upon the success of its Emmy, SAG, and Critics Choice Award-winning predecessors. Notably, the drama has already secured an early renewal for its fourth season, reflecting the high anticipation and positive reception surrounding the series.
“Morning Wars” Season Three promises to delve into a riveting narrative arc that sees the future of the UBA network in a state of uncertainty as a tech titan enters the fray. This development sets the stage for a testing of loyalties, the formation of unexpected alliances, and the weaponisation of private truths. As a result, each character is forced to reassess their core values both within and outside of the newsroom.
Billy Crudup, Mark Duplass, Nestor Carbonell, Karen Pittman, Greta Lee, Jon Hamm, Nicole Beharie, and Julianna Margulies join Aniston and Witherspoon in the star-studded ensemble cast for season three.
The critically lauded second season, now streaming globally on Apple TV+, has garnered Emmy Award nominations for Reese Witherspoon for Outstanding Lead Actress and Billy Crudup for Outstanding Supporting Actor, who had previously won the award for the inaugural season. Marcia Gay Harden also received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Guest Actress.
The first season witnessed Crudup’s performance as Cory Ellison earning him an Emmy and Critics Choice Award. Aniston’s portrayal of Alex Levy earned her a SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor.
Mimi Leder, who earned an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series for the first season finale, returns to direct and executive produce the third season. The series also earned nods from the Television Critics Association for Outstanding New Program and a TV Choice Award for Best New Drama.
