Channel 7

Home & Away (482,000 7pm; 430,000 7:30pm-8:30pm Late) continues its traditional late-week triple ep on Seven, which loses a big chunk of audience when Britain’s Got Talent (226,000) airs, but picks up again significantly, especially in MEL, with The Front Bar (368,000). Fantasy Island (42,000) aired before the close.

Seven first in both primary (21.2%) and network (30.1%) rankings.

Channel 9

A Current Affair (573,000)
delivers another solid grounding to Nine to start the night, before it splits thus:
Women’s State of Origin Live Pre-Game (257,000 Nine BNE/SYD)
Women’s State of Origin Live (323,000 Nine BNE/SYD)
and Women’s State of Origin Live Post-Game (121,000 Nine BNE/SYD);
OR
repeats of RBT (210,000 Nine MEL/ADL/PER),
and Paramedics (141,000 Nine MEL/ADL/PER),
and then a new ep of Casualty 24/7 (72,000 Nine MEL/ADL/PER);
before the schedule reintegrates for
A+E After Dark (71,000) and The First 48 (53,000) to slide into the late night.

Nine second in both primary (20.5%) and network (29.1%) rankings.


ABC

7:30 (465,000) and Miriam & Alan: Lost in Scotland and Beyond (267,000) open the ABC’s night with some support, which turns to Grand Designs New Zealand (198,000) and One Plus One – The Elders (108,000) with less of an audience. Repeats of Art Works (47,000) and Ningaloo Nyinggulu (DNR) close out the evening.

ABC third in primary (10.7%) and fourth in network (15.1%) rankings.


Channel 10

The second half hour of The Project (204,000 6:30pm; 298,000 7pm) is loving being the lead-in for MasterChef Australia (409,000), as the latter delivers second place in the slot for 10. It’s all repeats after that though, starting with Law & Order: SVU (156,000), then The Cheap Seats (109,000), and another ep of Law & Order: SVU (72,000).

10 fourth in primary (10.5%) and third in network (16.4%) rankings.

SBS

Inside Sydney Airport (162,000) premiered with reasonable numbers for SBS, moving to Putin and the West (106,000) and then a new episode of the incredible drama Normal People (52,000).

SBS fifth in both primary (4.8%) and network (9.2%) rankings.


KEY DEMOS

16-39: Seven News 6pm/6:30pm (87,000) beat out Nine News 6:30pm/6pm, and MasterChef Australia.

18-49: Seven News 6pm (170,000) led Seven News 6:30pm, Nine News 6:30pm/6pm, and MasterChef Australia.

25-54: Seven News 6pm (220,000) takes a triple demo win, followed by Nine News 6:30pm, Seven News 6:30pm, Nine News 6pm, and MasterChef Australia.


MULTI-CHANNELS

Peppa Pig – AM (139,000) rakes home another multi-channel win for ABC Kids/TV Plus.

One change to the previous week’s primetime line-up after the Total TV figures were added: Home and Away – Late (Seven) lifted 28% to 799,000; MasterChef Australia (10) lifted 34% to 704,000; and Thursday Night NRL Live (Nine) lifted 10% to 594,000.

The BVOD best were Alone Australia Reunion (178,000), Home and Away/Home and Away – Late (124,000), and MasterChef Australia (110,000).
