Channel 7 is about to turn up the heat with its latest program, Million Dollar Island, a groundbreaking social experiment that bends the norms of society.
Coming soon to Channel 7 and 7plus, Million Dollar Island will feature a unique cast of competitors, including a Western Australian mother of six, Tess, who is vying for the $1 million prize.
Tess, a personal trainer, is fuelled by her ambition to create a better life for her family.
“I want to provide something for my family that I never could have. I’m going to fight really hard. I want to make my family proud,”
Tess said, regarding her participation in the show.
The question remains: Will her love for her family be strong enough to carry her through a contest devoid of societal norms? How far will her competitors go? Will human decency prevail, or will the tempting prospect of winning a life-altering fortune motivate contestants to go to any lengths to emerge victorious?
The cast of Million Dollar Island represents a cross-section of Australian society, including farmers, retail workers, nurses, garbage collectors, and real estate agents, among others. Each of the hundred participants lands on a remote desert island, equipped with a bracelet valued at $10,000.
Competitors can increase or decrease their total bracelet value through gameplay, forming alliances, devising strategies, or even theft, all while enduring the island’s grueling conditions with scarce resources.
Million Dollar Island will be hosted by Ant Middleton and is produced by Eureka Productions.
