In an enthralling finale of Farmer Wants a Wife on Channel 7 and 7plus, the two remaining eligible farmers, Brad and Brenton, have found their paths to love.

Brad and Brenton, in a bid to deepen their connections, travelled to the hometowns of their chosen ladies for one final chance to understand them better and meet their families.

Newcastle, NSW was the destination for Farmer Brad as he met Morgan’s family. A mother’s intuition is never wrong, and Morgan’s mother, Angie, confirmed this by stating, “Just by looking at her, I can tell she’s happy, which is wonderful. I’m curious to see how they plan on maintaining their relationship.”

Conversely, Farmer Brenton’s visit to Hamilton, Victoria, to meet Sophie’s family, including her parents and her two grandmothers, didn’t quite dispel his anxieties. Sophie’s mother, Robyn, corroborated Brenton’s fears about a future in farming saying, “It may seem all exciting now, but marriage to a farmer is an entirely different world. Reality will soon set in.”

The tight-knit family bond Clare shared with her family in Tamworth, NSW left Brad pondering over whether her feelings for him could overcome her strong family ties. Farmer Brad voiced his fears saying, “Clare’s family is quite apprehensive about her moving to the farm. The thought of falling in love and it not working out is something that’s constantly on my mind. My biggest fear is going through heartbreak again.”

Similarly, Brenton carried his concerns to Rachel’s hometown in Perth. He confessed, “I can envision a future with Rachel, but her feelings towards me remain unspoken. It’s a thought that’s constantly nagging at me.”

Brenton found making his final choice more challenging than anticipated. After an emotional confession to Rachel that she wasn’t his chosen one, he said, “It’s heart-wrenching to make someone feel like that. It’s my first time causing a heartbreak.”

Eventually, he confessed his love to Sophie, saying, “I’ve never felt this way about anyone before. We’ve created so many beautiful memories, and I can’t wait to take you back to the farm. You’re the most stunning girl I’ve ever met. I’m falling in love with you.”

After clarifying his platonic feelings for Morgan, Brad couldn’t hold back his feelings for Clare any longer. He said, “We’re made of the same stuff. We love each other. Let’s make it work. Pack your horses, pack your dogs.”

Don’t miss the heart-warming reunion episode of Farmer Wants A Wife, airing Monday at 7.30pm on Channel 7 and 7plus. The farmers and their partners will reunite to reminisce about their journeys, with co-host Natalie Gruzlewski also preparing a special surprise.
