Apple TV+ has revealed the highly anticipated return of “Physical,” the popular half-hour dramedy that has taken audiences by storm.
Starring and executively produced by Rose Byrne, the series will premier its third and concluding 10-episode season on Wednesday, 2 August, 2023. Annie Weisman, the creator, writer, and executive producer of “Physical,” has also been a key contributor to the series’ success.
“Physical” made a remarkable global debut on Apple TV+, garnering admiration from critics and viewers alike. The top-notch ensemble cast, led by the “masterful” Rose Byrne, who is praised as being “perfectly cast,” has been a vital part of the series’ praise. The cast includes stars like Rory Scovel, Dierdre Friel, and Paul Sparks. The series production is managed by Tomorrow Studios for Apple TV+.
Reflecting on the upcoming final season, Rose Byrne and Annie Weisman expressed their gratitude towards Apple, Tomorrow Studios, and all their creative partners. They shared, “We are so proud to share this last chapter with everyone,” noting that the concluding season will bring the character Sheila’s journey of rebellion, recovery, and redemption to a satisfying conclusion.

Apple TV+ is offering audiences a chance to catch up with seasons one and two of “Physical,” streaming worldwide. The third season introduces Emmy and Grammy Award-nominee, Critics Choice Award winner Zooey Deschanel, who portrays ‘Kelly,’ a sitcom star venturing into the fitness industry.
“Physical,” set in sunny 1980s San Diego, brings to life the story of Sheila Rubin (Byrne), a seemingly dutiful housewife with a humorous dark side and personal self-image battles. Her life takes a turn when she discovers aerobics, setting her on a path to personal transformation and empowerment.
In addition to her role in “Physical,” Byrne is set to appear in “Platonic,” a new Apple Original comedy series alongside Seth Rogen, premiering Friday, 24 May on Apple TV+.
