Seven have a great first half of the night with Home & Away (499,000) doing well and Farmer Wants A Wife (552,000) winning the primetime slot. The Good Doctor (237,000) has a reasonable audience, while a repeat of Crime Investigation Australia: Most Infamous (82,000) keeps a few entertained.
Seven first in both primary (21.5%) and network (29.4%) rankings.
Channel 9
A Current Affair (615,000) easily Nine’s best as viewers largely otherwise occupied afterwards. The series finale of David Attenborough’s Frozen Planet II (278,000) pulled only a small audience, and even smaller with Chicago Med (90,000) and Casualty 24/7 (46,000).
Nine second in both primary (16.8%) and network (24.2%) rankings.
Channel 10
A stronger The Project (184,000 6:30pm; 307,000 7pm) opened the account for 10, with a slightly softer MasterChef Australia (497,000) following though still doing well. The season three premiere of The Cheap Seats (365,000) kept a slot-winning audience. New and repeat eps of NCIS (137,000; 82,000) ran into the late night.
10 third in both primary (13%) and network (18.7%) rankings.
ABC
It was all financial, all of the time on the ABC, starting with Budget 2023: The Treasurer’s Speech (451,000) and then developing thus: Budget 2023: An ABC News Special (341,000), Insiders: Budget Special (253,000), and The Business: Budget Special (172,000). Repeats of Stuff the British Stole (100,000) and Four Corners (37,000) finished the schedule.
ABC fourth in both primary (11.7%) and network (18.2%) rankings.
SBS
Who Do You Think You Are? Australia (193,000) kicked off SBS’s night, followed by Insight (141,000) and Dateline (89,000).
SBS fifth in both primary (5%) and network (9.5%) rankings.
KEY DEMOS
16-39: Seven News 6:30pm (105,000) led Seven News 6pm, MasterChef Australia, and Nine News 6:30pm/6pm.
18-49: MasterChef Australia & Seven News 6:30pm (186,000) beat out Seven News 6pm, and Nine News 6:30pm/6pm.
25-54: Nine News 6pm (229,000) was followed by Seven News 6:30pm, MasterChef Australia, Nine News 6:30pm, and Seven News 6pm.

The BVOD best were Home and Away (128,000) and Lego Masters Australia (117,000).
