Joy for Seven and Nine; deep sadness for 10.
Channel 7
Seven offer a massive News-based lead-in to Home & Away (495,000) which lifts but not massively. Farmer Wants A Wife (589,000) also lifts and takes home primetime as a result. 9-1-1 (243,000) and 9-1-1: Lone Star (134,000) return for fans (largely), as a repeat of 10 Years Younger In 10 Days (38,000) draws the night to a close.
Seven first in both primary (22.5%) and network (30.8%) rankings.
Channel 9
Nine open the night with a strong effort from A Current Affair (697,000) and a pretty good one from Lego Masters Australia: Grand Masters (521,000) that landed the latter in second (again!) in the slot. RPA (297,000) holds its own before the state-based split of 100% Footy (53,000) or Footy Classified (71,000). The Equalizer (63,000) closes out the schedule.
Nine second in both primary (20.8%) and network (28.1%) rankings.
ABC
Another solid Monday for the ABC as 7:30 (459,000) and Australian Story (464,000) clinch third place in primetime. Both Four Corners (364,000) and Media Watch (426,000) strong afterwards, and even Q+A (224,000) sees a significant bump on last week. India Now (80,000) draws a loyal audience.
ABC third in both primary (14.3%) and network (18.5%) rankings.
Channel 10
A very sad day for 10 saw a lot of interest in The Project (320,000 6:30pm; 447,000 7pm) which included a lovely tribute to Jock Zonfrillo. Somewhat understandably little interested afterwards in The Bridge Australia (173,000) which is essentially placeholder programming for a now-delayed MasterChef Australia, with a knock-on effect for Ghosts (97,000) and new and repeat eps of FBI: Most Wanted (82,000; 60,000).
10 fourth in both primary (8.9%) and network (15.8%) rankings.
SBS
A smaller night for SBS, with The Secret Life of Lighthouses (110,000) its best, followed by My Name is Reeva (40,000) and Race for the Sky (36,000).
SBS fifth in both primary (3.3%) and network (6.8%) rankings.

Monday was certainly a strange day in the ratings. Ten News First and The Project did a good job remembering Jock Zonfrillo, and viewers took notice. They didn’t pay as much attention to The Bridge, but the program was a good choice to fill the very unexpected gap in Ten’s schedule that was created by Mr. Zonfrillo’s death. While Ten is often critized for its poor ratings, it would be approriate to give them a pass for the next couple of weeks while they process this tragedy and figure out what to do next.
Hi Ian – hard agree. They are being very nimble at a time when schedules are planned a long-time out around marquee programming like MasterChef Australia. 10 are doing their absolute best.
