Channel 7 and 7plus have kicked off the latest season of Farmer Wants A Wife, with Samantha Armytage playing cupid to five new farmers from across the country.
The farmers – Brad (32, Cootamundra, NSW), David (29, Pozieres, Queensland), Brenton (26, Darriman, Victoria), Matt (23, Bookham, NSW), and Andrew (41, Narromine, NSW) – arrived in the Hunter Valley, where they met eligible single ladies who had responded to their profiles online.
Brad, Brenton, and Matt took part in speed-dating, meeting eight ladies each in a day. Brad was particularly taken with public servant Corista, while Matt enjoyed the banter with teaching assistant Alice. Brenton, on the other hand, found it overwhelming and joked that he might break down trying to pick his final five.
After plenty of awkward laughter and stolen glances, the three farmers each invited five ladies back to their farms. Brad chose Christina, Clare, Corista, Morgan, and Natasha, while Brenton selected Breanna, Emily, Frankie, Rachel, and Sophie.
Matt went for Alice, Annabelle, Chelsea, Madison, and Olivia.
Tuesday night, viewers can expect to see Andrew and David meet their favourites and choose their top five. All five farmers will then head back to their farms with one lucky lady they’ve chosen to spend the first 24-hour date with.
Turning on the country charm, they will do their best to impress their dates with intimate dinners and romantic gestures.
