The IndyCar Series will take Texas Motor Speedway by storm this weekend with a mammoth 250-lap battle between the fastest single-seater racers in the United States. The mile-and-a-half oval is the second fastest circuit on the calendar with speeds reaching upwards of 350 km/h. Supercars champ-turned-IndyCar star Scott McLaughlin will look to go one better after twice finishing second the past two times the series ventures to Fortworth.
Last year, he came agonisingly short of the win after teammate Josef Newgarden snatched the win with a pass around the outside on the final corner. Will Power started the 2023 season with seventh on the streets of St Petersburg and will no doubt want to improve in round two. As it stands, Marcus Ericsson leads the series after a surprise win.Â
