Seven’s News product propping up the rest of its night.

Channel 7

Off the back of a massive News result for Seven Home & Away (475,000) does it’s usual second place at 7pm. The second ep of We Interrupt This Broadcast (280,000) isn’t seeing its audience grow (which is a shame, though reflective of the issues around the production itself). The Front Bar (351,000) starts to build a wider audience, as Inside Detroit (175,000) pulls a decent audience for late night.

Seven first in both primary (19.8%) and network (28.9%) rankings.

Channel 9

Nine see A Current Affair (600,000) easily take the 7pm slot, as an earlier run for Under Investigation (355,000) brings in an audience bigger than it has seen all season. The rest of the night offered diminishing results through a repeat of Million Dollar Murders (242,000), Australian Crime Stories (79,000), and See No Evil (53,000).

Nine second in both primary (18.1%) and network (26.3%) rankings.

ABC

7:30 (448,000) and Hard Quiz (542,000) offer the ABC a primetime winning start to the night that The Weekly with Charlie Pickering (446,000) only benefitted on. The Melbourne Comedy Festival Gala (227,000) also delivered a solid audience into the late night.

ABC third in both primary (15.6%) and network (19.9%) rankings.

Channel 10

A mixed night for 10, with The Project (138,000 6:30pm; 234,000 7pm) continuing its weeknight slide, and the season finale of The Dog House Australia (318,000) drawing an OK audience – enough for it to land third ahead of Seven in primetime. Law & Order: SVU (111,000) and Fire Country (66,000) did little, and a late night repeat of Bull (35,000) acted as a screensaver.

10 fourth in both primary (7.8%) and network (14%) rankings.

SBS

Double ep premiere of Alone Australia (212,000 avg) offered a good start to SBS (the network advises the split was E01 203,000 and E02 220,000 respectively). Expect this to do much bigger business on BVOD in next week’s Total TV (and coming weeks) as this experience with the other country’s offerings in the franchise was in part a reason for this show’s commissioning. This was followed by Ruthless: Monopoly’s Secret History (75,000)

SBS fifth in both primary (6.4%) and network (10.8%) rankings.

KEY DEMOS

16-39: Seven News 6pm (104,000) led Seven News 6:30pm, Home and Away, Nine News 6:30pm, and A Current Affair.

18-49: Seven News 6pm (191,000) beat out Seven News 6:30pm, Nine News 6:30pm, A Current Affair, and Nine News 6pm.

25-54: Seven News 6pm (226,000) scores a triple-demo win, followed by Seven News 6:30pm, Nine News 6:30pm/6pm, and A Current Affair.

MULTI-CHANNELS

Bull – rpt (99,000) on 10 Bold rolls another multi-channel win for the 10 Network.
