AUSTRALIAN SURVIVOR starts to taper really well for 10.


Channel 9

A Current Affair (619,000) is a great start for Nine, followed by a softer-though-still-night-winning Married At First Sight (835,000). Big Miracles (300,000) gets a little softer on last week, and then the night splits based on code for 100% Footy (47,000) OR Footy Classified (73,000). The Equalizer (46,000) closes out the schedule.

Nine first in both primary (24.8%) and network (31.3%) rankings.

Channel 7

Seven led in strong with Home & Away (482,000), though Australian Idol (409,000) continues to slide into fourth even though it’s delivering competitive numbers. The replay of The Oscars (329,000) carried a very good average into the late night.

Seven second in both primary (18.2%) and network (27%) rankings.


ABC

7:30 (418,000) and Australian Story (430,000) lift the ABC into third in the primetime slot, ahead of Seven. Four Corners (432,000) and Media Watch (455,000) also both do big business afterwards to take the later slot. Q+A (210,000) continues to struggle, and China Tonight (61,000) rounds out the current affairs line-up.

ABC third in both primary (13.5%) and network (17.3%) rankings.


Channel 10

10 experiencing more ups and downs in their night than an elevator. The Project (177,000 6:30pm; 291,000 7pm) continues to bewilder, while Australian Survivor (536,000) does huge business, landing second in primetime. Afterwards it’s a different story, with Would I Lie To You? Australia (232,000) slipping on last week, Ghosts (103,000) barely registering, and then repeats of The Montreal Comedy Festival (56,000) and FBI: Most Wanted (32,000) filling out the night.

10 third in both primary (11.1%) and network (17.5%) rankings.

SBS

Britain by Beach (77,000) and South Korea with Alexandra Armstrong (71,000) kicked off SBS’s consistent night, which rounded with a repeat of 24 Hours in Emergency (77,000).

SBS fifth in both primary (3.2%) and network (6.9%) rankings.


KEY DEMOS

16-39: Married At First Sight (183,000) led Australian Survivor, Nine News 6:30pm, and Seven News 6pm/6:30pm.

18-49: Married At First Sight (317,000) beat out Australian Survivor, Seven News 6pm, Nine News 6:30pm, and Seven News 6:30pm.

25-54: Married At First Sight (386,000) scores another triple-demo win, followed by Australian Survivor, Seven News 6pm/6:30pm, and Nine News 6:30pm.


MULTI-CHANNELS

Doc Martin – PM (131,000) offers a multi-channel win to 7TWO.

No changes to the previous week’s primetime line-up after the Total TV figures were added: Married At First Sight (Nine) lifted 61% to 1,864,000; Australian Survivor (10) lifted 37% to 964,000; and Australian Idol (Seven) lifted 23% to 846,000.

The BVOD best were Married At First Sight (597,000), Australian Survivor (194,000), Home and Away (146,000), Big Miracles (111,000), and Australian Idol (102,000).
