Golf fans are set to be rewarded with more access to the PGA Tour than ever before on Kayo Sports, with daily live coverage expanding to almost 40 hours per day, starting with this week’s Players Championship.

The Players Championship, set to feature one of the strongest fields in golf outside the Majors, begins Thursday, March 9 with live coverage from eight separate feeds.

This includes seven live on-course feeds, including the main coverage and featured holes daily from 4am AEDT, featured groups daily from 11.30pm AEDT and four individual player feeds covering every shot live.

The post-show, “Live From The Players” will also be live, while the Kayo Mini and three “speed round” short-form highlights packages will be available on-demand.

For subsequent PGA Tour events, there will be four live feeds offered – Main Feed, Marquee Group, Featured Holes and Featured Groups – with live coverage from around 11pm AEDT through until 10am.

Kayo Sports Executive Director, Cate Hefele, said:

“When Kayo Sports launched in 2018, we were showing four hours of PGA Tour content a day. Now we are now up to almost 40 hours, which just goes to show how popular the Tour is with Aussie sports fans.

“We know that when the stars such as Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy and Jason Day are playing, live PGA Tour coverage has been amongst Kayo Sports’ best performing events.

With this week’s Players Championship featuring one of the strongest fields in world golf, it couldn’t be a better time for us to be boosting our PGA Tour coverage.”

In addition to the increase in live coverage hours, Kayo Minis will now be available for each round of the PGA Tour and short-form highlight clips covering the biggest stories on Tour, the latest press conferences and reactions from the stars will be accessible via the PGA Tour event centres and Kayo Sports homepage.

Feature stories and specials will drop throughout the season, looking at the biggest names in golf and the next generation of stars, while a weekly PGA Tour Highlights show can be streamed every Monday night.

Coverage of The Players Championship begins Thursday, March 9 at 11.30pm AEDT.
