AUSTRALIAN SURVIVOR continues to do massive business for 10 and begs the question: Can the Network capitalise on this great start to the ratings year with their next primetime show?

Channel 9

A Current Affair (688,000) takes 7pm for Nine, and (as usual) Married At First Sight (854,000) comes first in primetime by a long way. Big Miracles (361,000) benefits from the lead-in to take the later slot, before the night splits into 100% Footy (36,000 BNE/SYD) or New Amsterdam (34,000 MEL/ADL/PER), and comes back together for a late night ep of The Equalizer (29,000).

Nine first in both primary (25%) and network (31.6%) rankings.

Channel 7

Home & Away (497,000) starts the week with the usual audience on Seven. The Australian Idol (455,000) results show again draws a reasonable audience though due to competition it lands in third. Starstruck (236,000) does little, before repeats of Australia: Now and Then (125,000) and Busted in Bangkok (41,000) fill out the evening.

Seven second in both primary (18.1%) and network (25.8%) rankings.

ABC

7:30 (449,000) and Australian Story (405,000) draw a strong audience in primetime for the ABC, followed by Four Corners (432,000) and Media Watch (448,000). Q+A (226,000) still not drawing the eyeballs it used to, as China Tonight (64,000) rounds out the night.

ABC third in primary (13.8%) and fourth in network (17.4%) rankings.

Channel 10

10 getting a leg up with The Project (174,000 6:30pm; 305,000 7pm) delivering its best group for the week, followed by another blistering episode of Australian Survivor (540,000). Would I Lie To You? Australia (256,000) continues, building on last week’s ep, and pushes into a new ep of Ghosts (111,000), before flipping to repeats of The Montreal Comedy Festival (56,000) and FBI: Most Wanted (38,000).

10 fourth in primary (11.5%) and third in network (17.7%) rankings.

SBS

Planet Reef (72,000) finishes up on SBS, followed by South Korea with Alexander Armstrong (65,000) and Secrets of Playboy (34,000).
