  1. Hi, Al Walsh here , I retired 9 years ago after 44years paying tax. The first thing i noticed on returning to Tasmania was how much debris was in my roof gutters, it was 2014 when I 1st installed a new water collection system using 100mm PVC pipe. Over the next 8yrs I installed one new upgrade per year on my Abode while i was doing renovations. The pipe is cut to roofing iron profile with slits cut to allow water to flow. The pipe is held in position via an internal clamping device. The unit is completely sealed and water can only flow via the slits, allowing clean rain to flow into holding tanks. This is the First stage of 4.
The second stage is the fitting of control valve, non-return valve, high level probe, computer program, battery & solar panel. By letting the pipe to fill with water it will overflow flushing Debris off roof , the high level probe is activated opening control valve allowing water to flow. Because there is 7.8lts of water per meter’s of water stored in the pipe flow creates draught, having a sealed unit the water is sucked through the slits in the PVC pipe instead of water flowing,
The third stage reverse flushing by having water returned to gutter to flush roof of Debris during high fire danger periods
The Forth stage is connection of whole Subdivision’s allowing water to be pumped via Gravity
