AUSTRALIAN SURVIVOR is proving to be a success for 10, at the cost of AUSTRALIAN IDOL on Seven (which, in its own right, is still doing well).
Channel 9
Nine kick off with another slot-winning A Current Affair (662,000), though down a little on the same time last year. Married At First Sight (779,000) has the biggest drop from Sunday though still a clear, unchallenged winner. Big Miracles (301,000) continues its winning ways, as the late night fills out with New Amsterdam (69,000) and a repeat of The Equalizer (41,000).
Nine first in both primary (23.7%) and network (30.8%) rankings.
Channel 7
Seven started the night with their best in Home & Away (483,000) as Australian Idol (425,000) slipped a little from last night and remained in fourth place in primetime. Starstruck (166,000) did little as the follow-on, and it wasn’t helped by a repeat of Busted in Bangkok (43,000).
The five-hour daytime broadcast of Super Bowl LVII (311,000) managed a reasonable audience with BVOD figures to come.
Seven second in both primary (19.1%) and network (27.6%) rankings.
ABC
Another big current affairs night helped the ABC. 7:30 (487,000) and Back Roads (432,000) pull a solid third place in primetime, followed by Four Corners (346,000) and Media Watch (374,000) which drew reasonable audiences also. Q+A (191,000) slipped under 200k for the first time this season and it only took three eps. A repeat of Midsomer Murders (DNR) closed out the schedule.
ABC third in primary (12.9%) and fourth in network (17%) rankings.
Channel 10
The Project (182,000 6:30pm; 299,000 7pm) lifted a little for 10 to start the week, followed by another successful night of Australian Survivor (469,000) which landed in second place in primetime. The season two premiere of Would I Lie To You? Australia (229,000) landed down 52% year-on-year, and a new ep of Ghosts (126,000) isn’t doing massive business. A repeat of FBI: Most Wanted (79,000) finished out the night.
10 fourth in primary (11.1%) and third in network (17.4%) rankings.
SBS
All-new programming led the night for SBS, starting with Darcey Bussell’s Royal Roadtrip (68,000), followed by Monster: The Mystery of Loch Ness (81,000) and Secrets of Playboy (60,000).
SBS fifth in both primary (3.3%) and network (7.2%) rankings.
