Based on real court transcripts, this 90-minute film recreates the high-stakes defamation case that captivated the public and media when it unfolded on social media in 2019.
The film features an all-star cast, including BAFTA-winning actress Chanel Cresswell as Coleen Rooney and Natalia Tena as Rebekah Vardy, two WAGs at the center of the case.
Award-winning actor Michael Sheen plays Rooney’s high-profile barrister, David Sherborne, while Simon Coury takes on the role of Vardy’s barrister, Hugh Tomlinson QC. Dion Lloyd and Márton Nagyszokolyai round out the cast as Wayne Rooney and Jamie Vardy, respectively.
