One of Australia’s favourite comedians, Paul Hogan is set to be roasted in a new television special on Channel 7
The Roast Of Paul Hogan was filmed earlier this year in front of a packed audience at Melbourne’s Crown Casino.
Close friend and former co-star Shane Jacobson produced and hosted the special, which features comedians and performers paying homage to the national treasure in a way only Aussies know how – firing insults at each other.
Hoges is joined by some of Australia’s best-known celebrities, comedians and musicians plus the John Foreman Orchestra for this once in a lifetime event
Celebrity roasters understood to be appearing on the special include Shaun Micallef, Tom Gleeson, Steve Vizard, Kerri-Anne Kennerley, John Paul Young, Christie Whelan Browne, Ernie Dingo, Troy Kinne, Mylee Hogan, and Alex Lee.
Channel 7 is leaning increasingly on the nostalgia card to end 2022 with two Kath and Kim specials on the way, plus the recent repeats of Hey Hey specials and Melissa Doyle delivering strong ratings with a revival of This Is Your Life.
