  1. Just too much commentary. I loved the Queen and will miss this wonderful, wise grandmother of the world. It would be much more palatable to have one documentary a night over a few months. I am home sick with serious asthma today, and would prefer a couple of regular easy watching programs

  2. Stop the horrific coverage of the queens death. When will it stop? So unfair to inflict this on everyone. Enough already!

  3. I ask that the ABC commentators use the term “Union Flag”, when describing on buildings, not “Union Jack”. That is reserved when the flag is on a ship. Thank you.

  4. Finally, on Sunday morning, the ABC was showing something other than the overly-repetitive programs about the death of Queen Elizabeth II. But now its gone to live coverage of the pompous ‘Australian Commonwealth Swearing Allegiance to the New King ceremony’. Both the ABC & those commercial channels who have ceased normal programing for round-the-clock Queen’s Death coverage, are not doing this out of respect but for money! Showing the same docos, interviews etc, over and over again is just cheap programing so just another way “to save a buck”!

    • Hi Jack – the ABC have, as the national broadcaster, a responsibility to cover major events like the swearing allegiance to the new King. Absolutely they are doing it out of respect and within their charter as the national taxpayer-funded broadcaster. They are not doing it “for money” as you state. The commercial networks…well that’s an entirely different story…

  5. I am glad to see I am not the only one who is feed up with this crazy coverage of the death of Queen Elizabeth. I love the ABC and it is where I go to get my news multiple time a day, but now its just not there, not even the weather! When will it stop?

  6. I understand the ABC’s Charter but my point was why are we seeing over two days of nothing BUT ‘The Death of Elisabeth II’ stories and in that repetitive program format for all of the day. P.S. What is the ‘News’ usefulness in stopping some member of the public, who is walking down a street and then asking “How do you feel or how are you affected by he death?”

    • Hi Jack – the ABC has an expectation to cover everything, and dropping in and out of coverage is more painful that sticking with rolling coverage. They will be relaxing it now that King Charles III has been declared monarch of Australia, however there will be significant events in the days to come that will mean longer form coverage will return. It is the nature of the passing of the longest-serving female monarch ever.

  7. So annoying all this coverage we get is she died and its over. the media act like she’s the only significant figure to have died.
