This week, our Blockheads must construct two rooms from scratch: a guest bedroom and another bathroom.

Sharon is devastated at the Open for Inspections after finishing second by half a point to Omar and Oz in last week’s competition. Tom and Sarah-Jane won for their master bedroom and walk-in closet, and it’s a popular choice.

Most of the other contestants in particular Sarah-Jane and Rachel can’t understand how Ankur and Sharon scored well at all. They slam the door, and Sarah-Jane describes the room as ‘hideous.’

Tom and Sarah-Jane have another fight, which has become all too common on The Block. Sarah-Jane has a difficult day on The Block when she receives a call from her mother informing her that their one-year-old daughter Cleo is ill, and she goes to spend the night with her. Tom agrees with the decision, saying that family comes first.

Maz, Omar’s wife, pays a surprise visit to The Block. He is overjoyed to see her, but Oz is disappointed because his wife Jasmin did not travel down from Sydney.

Liam, Ankur and Sharon’s builder, arrives on site on Monday morning and is dissatisfied once more, believing they should have done some demo earlier.

Sharon isn’t having it; she says they need to understand that they can’t work 24 hours a day and that they are doing their best.

Sharon is having a difficult start to the week. After much back and forth with one of The Block’s suppliers, Damian from Grafico, he informs her that he will be unable to assist her with her wallpaper this week. He appears to have become frustrated with Sharon and moved on. She is heartbroken.

Scotty informs the contestants at the Winners and Grinners dinner that some couples are paying significantly more for trades than others, and they should keep an eye on this.

The Block continues 7:30pm Tuesday on Channel 9 and 9Now.
