Sky News Australia is to bring together vocal advocates, going head-to-head on one of the biggest questions of a generation – should an Indigenous Voice to Parliament be enshrined in the Australian constitution?

Hosted by Sky News host Chris Kenny, The Voice Debate is promising to explore the arguments both for and against a Voice to Parliament, as Australia prepares to decide in a national referendum.

Under the proposal, a constitutionally enshrined Voice to Parliament would be a permanent body representing Aboriginal and Torres Strait peoples that would advise government on policies relating to Indigenous issues.

Opposing The Voice, Senator Jacinta Nampijinpa Price and Sky News host Andrew Bolt.

Chris Kenny said:

“Some say a Voice will divide the nation along racial lines, others argue it is central for reconciliation.

Whatever your view, you deserve to have your voice heard because this is a big change that demands a proper and respectful debate.

I’m looking forward to bringing together some of the most powerful figures on either side of this issue for a robust contest of ideas.”

Chris Kenny was a member of the senior advisory group that guided the Indigenous Voice co-design process. He is an associate editor of The Australian and anchor of The Kenny Report weekdays on Sky News.

  1. From the start I don’t agree with the voice, let’s also have a voice for Greeks, Italians, Americans and every other nationally, to me this will only devide us.

  2. Yes Robert what you have written is what
    many are thinking.
Australia is a melting pot of diverse cultures but at least with the debate on Sky we will learn details because Albanese is not going to tell us .
