A final list of 332 nominees from 20 countries has been confirmed for Sunday’s KFC inaugural BBL Draft, to be broadcast live and exclusively on Fox Cricket.
All eight clubs will join Fox Cricket hosts Kath Loughnan and Mark Howard plus cricket legends Mike Hussey and Darren Lehmann for what is expected to be one of the most anticipated events for the season ahead.
The list, which includes the final 54 nominations received shortly before the August 21 deadline, is available here.
Headlining the new nominees is New Zealand great Ross Taylor, England Test opener Zak Crawley and current Pakistan players Abdullah Shafique, Yasir Shah and Imam Ul Haq.
Presiding over their selection, and that of all players who have nominated Australia as a destination of choice this summer, will be Fox Cricket’s expert commentary team.
“It should be a fascinating Draft but a very important one in giving teams the best chance of success in this edition of the BBL,”
said Australian cricket great and Fox Cricket commentator, Mike Hussey.
“We all expect the Adelaide Strikers to retain Rashid Khan however it will be very interesting to see which players are retained from the other clubs.
With the calibre of players in this year’s international Draft combined with some of the Aussie test players joining the back end of BBL season, it is set to be of the biggest yet.”
Alistair Dobson, Cricket Australia’s General Manager, Big Bash Leagues, said:
“Sunday night’s KFC BBL|12 Draft is the first must-see event of the Big Bash summer.
“We love the hype, anticipation and speculation the Draft has created throughout the winter months. Now it is over to our Clubs to build their lists from a selection of the best players in the world.
“We encourage all fans of the Big Bash to tune in to Fox Cricket, follow on social and share their thoughts throughout the evening.”
