The series sees renowned French-Australian chef Guillaume Brahimi take us on a delectable culinary journey. Following the route of the Tour, Guillaume creates a beautiful meal inspired by the location of each stage, using beautiful Australian produce sourced from the guests that Guillaume meets along the way!

The Village (Season One & Two)

English period drama **SBS On Demand Box-Set**

A family saga set in the rolling hills of the beautiful Peak District in England’s Derbyshire, through which we see early twentieth century history play out. Great historical events, change, progress, shifts in national identity are all refracted through the story of the village.

S1 opens in the present day with Bert Middleton, the second oldest man in Britain, being interviewed by a director. A documentary is being made about Bert and his village – he takes us back to the long hot summer of 1914.

An epic and emotional journey. This season covers the years of WWI with the story told through the eyes of Bert. His life story and his voice provide the backbone for the narrative and our way into an examination of who we think we are and why.

S2 starts in 1923 and the village moves away from the horrors of war and into the roaring twenties. It’s ‘boom or bust’, the Charleston and the Black Bottom, the decline of the aristocracy and the rise of the middle-class. Bert is now old enough to understand and experience all these great and ominous changes, and to challenge and explore them for himself.

The Village stars David Ryall, Maxine Peake, John Simm, and Charlie Murphy. For more information, please contact:

True Colours

Australian crime drama **Australian Premiere**

Things are not what they seem in SBS and NITV’s compelling four-part crime drama True Colours. What starts with the investigation of a car accident soon turns into an epic hunt for a killer. It’s a murder mystery like no other exploring culture, community, family, and one woman’s pursuit to find her place within it.

Rarriwuy Hick (Redfern Now, Cleverman, Wentworth) spearheads a stellar cast including Luke Arnold (Never Tear Us Apart: The Untold Story of INXS, Black Sails), acclaimed singer-songwriter Warren H. Set in the fictional community of Perdar Theendar against the backdrop of the Northern Territory’s Mparntwe (Alice Springs) and Yeperenye (East MacDonnell Ranges), the series in English and Arrernte, is a ground-breaking insight into the Arrernte peoples’ connection to art and cultural practices.

Detective Toni Alma (Hick) is assigned to investigate a suspicious car accident in Perdar Theendar, the Aboriginal community she left as a child and has had little to do with over the years. The beauty of Aboriginal art and the sometimes-devious practices in the global art market lead Detective Alma on a hunt for a killer in her hometown.

Helsinki Crimes

Finnish crime drama **Australian Premiere**

Timo Harjunpää (Olli Rahkonen) lives in a small, peaceful town of Kirkkonummi with his wife Elisa and two young daughters. Harjunpää’s summer should be peaceful too but is anything but. Police Sergeant Harjunpää works with the Helsinki Murder Squad, and with his newly assigned partner, Onerva Nykänen (Olga Temonen), gets to deal with cases where every behaviour humanly possible, becomes familiar to them.

A sexual predator killing women introduces Harjunpää and Nykänen to the chilling incel- ideology, while an identity theft leads them into the world of criminal hackers. During the long summer, the pair are trying to figure out what makes under-age kids do terrible, violent crimes, and how heavily traumas and difficult home life experienced in childhood impact people all their lives, making them vulnerable to the life of crime even in adulthood.

The beautiful summery Helsinki looks very different to the eyes of Harjunpää and Nykänen – to them, people are not safe at home, nor on the streets. Their cases don’t leave them alone even on their days off, and they both need to think of the impact their choice of profession has on their families, where, after a difficult day’s work, they both face their own challenges and problems.

Being in the Murder Squad makes you fear for your own family, fear that you’ll lose control of the life of your own children.

Norwegian-ish

Norwegian comedy drama **Australian Premiere**

Modern, well-integrated, young adults with immigrant backgrounds are often portrayed as the shining image of what multicultural Norway should be – strong, confident people who balance their two cultures perfectly. In other words – the opposite of Helin (Selda Ekiz), Amrit and Fariba. Fortunately, they have each other. With roots in four cultures, the friends try their best to navigate through adulthood with all the awkward situations, insecurities, uncomfortable everyday experiences, and victories it entails.

Helin is the dutiful Turkish daughter and doctor who realises her parents have become far more liberal than herself. Iranian Fariba (Nasrin Khusrawi) decides to play her minority card to get ahead in her professional life. Amrit (Ravdeep Singh Bajwa), an untraditional Indian bar owner, discovers more pros than cons with sticking to his own kind.

Simultaneously their parents struggle with not interfering while their thirty-something children go through the growing pains of life.

When Helin’s little sister gets pregnant outside of marriage and her parents don’t seem to care, Helin’s world is turned upside down. Has her family become too Norwegian? Single mother Fariba’s social media activity draws her into a media circus, and her need for exposure creates a gap between her and her father. Amrit notices that he and his secret Norwegian girlfriend are drifting apart, so he starts to wonder if it is true – like his mother says – that birds of a feather flock together.
