The Seven Network will bring Australians comprehensive coverage of Anzac Day services and events across the day on Monday 25 April, beginning from 4.50am with the live and commercial free broadcast of the Currumbin Dawn Service on the Gold Coast.
In a special extended edition of Sunrise live from Currumbin, Nat, Kochie and the team will cross throughout the morning to local commemorative services happening around Australia to honour our fallen Diggers and give thanks to servicemen and women who have served, and continue to serve, this nation.
From 2.00pm AEST on Channel 7 and 7mate, AFL powerhouses Collingwood and Essendon run out onto the hallowed MCG for the annual Anzac Day clash following the pre-game observance ceremony and traditional moment of silence.
From 3.30pm, Channel 7 in Sydney and 7plus will broadcast live and commercial-free a special tribute concert from Sydney Town Hall, Lest We Forget – An Anzac Day Tribute, hosted by the Australian Remembrance Foundation to honour Australia’s fallen soldiers and to support partner charities RSL Foundation and Legacy.
A replay of the concert, featuring more than 150 artists, musicians, veteran and military performers led by Australian music legend and Vietnam veteran Normie Rowe AM, will be broadcast nationally on 7TWO and 7plus at 4.30pm.
Then join 7NEWS at 6.00pm for a special Anzac Day commemorative bulletin, live to reporters Nick McCallum from Gallipoli and Tom Hartley at Villers-Bretonneux, as well as the day’s other headlines from both Australia and around the world.
