Foxtel has confirmed the religious broadcast channel Hillsong will soon be rebranded in a move that will see much of the existing programming replaced.

From April 28, the Hillsong channel which is managed by the Trinity Broadcasting Network will move to the new name of ‘TBN Inspire’.

The TBN Inspire channel will continue to feature much of TBN’s existing faith-based Christian content in their current timeslots on Channel 183.

However, Hillsong content on the channel will be replaced with similar Christian content.

A statement issued by TBN indicated the change;

“reflected the rebranding the Trinity Broadcasting Network has recently completed in the United States and is now undertaking progressively in other countries”.

The change in branding comes after the recent changes at Hillsong Church which has seen its global pastor Brian Houston resign after the church revealed it had received complaints from two women about his behaviour.

The 10 network has also recently confirmed a decision to remove Hillsong programming from its line-up.

The new content on the channel will include:

  • TBN’s daily 1-hour flagship program “Praise” and a daily 30 women’s program entitled “Better Together”.
  • Non-pulpit teaching programs from Joel Osteen, Joseph Prince, Levi Lusko and Robert Morris.
  • Documentary programs “Adventures with God” and “A Call to All”.
  • Music-based programs with Elevation Worship, Big Daddy Weave, David and Nicole Binion, and Main Stage, as well as “Gospel Worship Experience”.

  1. This is awful move on TBN,’S part! Hillsong Channels programming much better than TBN’s.

Also let’s remember TBN’s history of scandals! With his brothers daughter accusations surrounding one if his sons raping Paul Crouch, Jr’s daughter. And the awful infighting following death of Paul and Jan Crouch’s death!
This included mismanaged funds and struggles for power.

How hypocritical of you to dismiss Hillsong Channel as they rebuild and move through this difficult time. We still love and support Hillsong and the New leadership

  2. about time that dreadful hillsong gone its not a church to me but its a CULT as for BRIAN HOUSTON WELL. iTS NOT A MAIN STREAM CHURCH GOOD RIDDANCE . Church should be a time of reverence to our HEAVENLEY FATHER and JESUS.

  3. Glad to see the back of this corrupt, thieving heretic and the lies he tells to his audience. The collapse of this money-laundering scheme masquerading as a real church has been a long time coming, but our Lord could not forever tolerate their attempts to lead the faith into darkness.

  4. The worst part about this is that the channel made the decision without consultation. Kept my money and rebranded what they think I want to view. Hillsong is the most popular christian music service, chanel , creator and pastoral ministry – there is NO OTHER worship program that can replace this content. This is very discouraging.

  5. Hillsong certainly has its problems. The decision to replace it is unfortunate but all things considered we should not be surprised. Hopefully one day it will come back. The worship music is second to none. As for some ‘christian’ calling it a cult like church reflects the ignorance of the writer. Certainly poor management oversight and a cleaning out of some pastors well over due. But can someone tell me where you can find a church without issues? The bottom line is people being saved and growing in God. Bryan Houston made mistakes but lets not crucify the man. We already did that job on Jesus!
