It’s a full dance card for football fans this week.

The Commonwealth Bank Matildas step out against trans-Tasman rival New Zealand, the Isuzu UTE A-League continues and Asia’s premier club football tournament, the AFC Champions League, group stage gets underway for the West.

In an Australian first, football fans will get access to every AFC Champions League group stage match across the East and West regions live. So set your alarm nice and early tomorrow morning as the AFC Champions League Matchday 1 for the West region commences when Foolad Khouzestan FC (IRN) play Al Gharafa (QAT), and Pakhtakor (UZB) play Sepahan FC (IRN), live Friday, 8 April, from 3.05am AEST, with kick-off at 3.15am AEST, live on Paramount+. Catch all the Matchday 1 games live on Paramount+.

The Commonwealth Bank Matildas head north to Townsville tomorrow, Friday, 8 April, for the first of a two-match series again the New Zealand Football Ferns. While it might be called a friendly match, there will be nothing friendly about the tussle on the pitch between the two sides. Then on Tuesday, 12 April, the Matildas head south to Canberra for the final clash against their New Zealand neighbours. Catch the matches live from 7.00pm AEST, with kick-off at 7.45pm AEST, on 10 Bold, 10 Play and Paramount+.

Then on Saturday night in the Isuzu UTE A-League match of the round for Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth, it’s a Melbourne derby between cross-town rivals Melbourne Victory and Melbourne City. Catch the match live from 7.00pm AEST on 10 and 10 Play for Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide, and 10 Bold and 10 Play in Perth, and Paramount+. In the Isuzu UTE A-League match of the round for Sydney, Central Coast Mariners will play Sydney FC live from 7.00pm AEST on 10 and 10 Play in Sydney, and Paramount+.

  1. I would just wish every time 10 mention about streaming sport through Paramount+ since each network do promote the same or similar anyway. They could use something like ‘ad free siren to siren during play’ for Football matches. It might help with sign ups. I know it could not be a solution but it might be worth it unless it has copyright issues.
