A nation says goodbye to a modern larrikin (1,666,000 of us, combined across all OzTAM-listed broadcasters).

Shane Warne State Memorial Service (829,000 (Live – SYD/MEL; Delayed – BNE/ADL/PER)) by far the biggest collection of people total for the memorial, and then a repeat of Seven’s special Warnie (292,000) helped keep the theme together. A repeat of MOVIE: Eddie the Eagle (73,000) filled out the night.
Seven first in both primary (26%) and network (33.2%) rankings.

A Current Affair (357,000) down significantly given the night, and also not broadcast in Melbourne. Travel Guides (365,000) low for all markets and also not broadcast in Melbourne. A bit messy for the Shane Warne State Memorial Service (403,000 (270,000 Nine – MEL; 133,000 9Gem – BNE (delayed)/SYD/ADL/PER)) however offers a reasonable lift. Both Under Investigation (166,000) and a repeat of True Story with Hamish & Andy (41,000) aren’t broadcast in MEL, and then Forensics: The Real CSI (65,000) completes the night.
Nine second in both primary (19.1%) and network (27.8%) rankings.

Live in all markets, the Shane Warne State Memorial Service (163,000) does OK business on ABC NEWS. The normal evening’s programming on the ABC rolled out thus: 7:30 (428,000), Hard Quiz (422,000), Shaun Micallef’s Mad As Hell (418,000), the season two premiere of Tomorrow Tonight (274,000), Melbourne Comedy Festival Gala (192,000), and a new ep of Adam Hills: The Last Leg (108,000).
ABC third in both primary (11.2%) and network (17.6%) rankings.

The Project (205,000 6:30pm; 189,000 7pm (not MEL)) significantly down; understandable given the evening’s programming. Live in all markets, the Shane Warne State Memorial Service (161,000 (114,000 10 – MEL; 47,000 10 Bold – BNE/SYD/ADL/PER)) doesn’t really draw a huge crowd but a determined one. A repeat of Ambulance Australia (220,000) and a new episode of This Is Us (60,000) complete the evening.
10 fourth in both primary (8.3%) and network (14.2%) rankings.

SBS’s Wednesday looked like this: Tony Robinson’s Coast To Coast (156,000), Life On The Outside (72,000), and The Responder (54,000) all Memorial affected.
SBS fifth in both primary (3.7%) and network (7.3%) rankings.
