The 84th edition of Gent-Wevelgem is set to play out this weekend.
The race dates from 1934 and features cobbles, hills and unpaved roads. Opened by the E3 Harelbeke and followed by Dwars door Vlaanderen and the Tour of Flanders, Gent-Wevelgem is the second race in Flemish Week.
The four Classics are held within a ten days period. Gent-Wevelgem amounts to 249.8 kilometres, while the race kicks into gear in Ypres.
