This series is currently looking for single people, from anywhere in Australia, who are interested in dating but have not yet been on a date.
The ABC have begun casting for a new dating documentary series, produced by the same team behind popular show in the same genre, Love on the Spectrum.
While the new series is unnamed at this stage, the casting team is looking for people in Australia who have never been on a date, but are interested in doing so.
The application process provides a list of reasons as to why someone hasn’t begun dating, stressing the casting team aims to be inclusive of whatever reason someone may not yet have been on a date.
Among the reasons provided are:
- Due to body or image con dence issues.
- Working through gender and sexuality identity.
- Living with a condition that you feel has held you back.
- Or life experience has meant that stepping into the dating world has been hard until now.
The series aims to feature a diverse range of people from all walks of life, hoping to make an honest and insightful documentary series telling the stories of people not seen enough on screens.
Production is looking for people who are interested in meeting one of the main participants for a date, and stresses they will always do their best to pair people up with a good match.
Any initial contact with the casting team is informal.
At this stage, only people aged 18 and over are being sought.
