With the 62nd edition of the Logies postponed due to COVID-19 for both 2020 and 2021, television’s night of nights will finally return in 2022.
After a two-year hiatus the 62nd TV WEEK Logie Awards are set to return.
The show will be held on Sunday, June 19, at The Star Gold Coast Entertainment Resort precinct, metres from the glorious beaches of Broadbeach.
After being postponed in 2020 and 2021 due to COVID-19, the TV WEEK Logie Awards is back at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre within The Star precinct, and is set to showcase all the action, glamour and excitement synonymous with Australian television’s night of nights to be telecast on Channel 9 and 9Now.
Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk said the return of the Logies was a major milestone in the recovery of Australia’s burgeoning screen sector.
She said:
“Queensland is the home of the screen industry in Australia.
“It’s great to have the Logies back on the Gold Coast in 2022 – our third time hosting television’s night of nights. I can’t imagine the Logies being anywhere else.”
