Sky News Australia today announced the further expansion of the SkyNews.com.au team and an increased investment in its exclusive digital editorial offering as it continues to be a driving force of breaking news, exclusive commentary, and opinion online.

New to the impressive roster of existing commentators on-air and online across SkyNews.com.au are international newsmakers Megyn Kelly, Nigel Farage and Douglas Murray who have all joined as contributors.

The recent announcement of Piers Morgan’s new global nightly show Piers Morgan Uncensored has also seen his popular, topical and thought-provoking UK column of the same name published on SkyNews.com.au.

In 2022 these international headliners are joined by popular Australian voices; Joe Hildebrand, Des Houghton, Gemma Tognini and Caroline Di Russo who have joined the network’s roster of columnists for SkyNews.com.au.

Sky News Head of Digital, Tim Love, said

“Sky News Digital has enjoyed more than five years of successive growth, which is an impressive outcome against the backdrop of competitor outlets reducing costs. With more people in Australia and around the world accessing Sky News Australia content than ever before, we are looking forward to entering the next stage of the network’s digital expansion by introducing new senior journalists and commentators across both our digital video and written journalism businesses.”

Sky News Australia has also announced an expansion of its digital team and a string of new appointments to drive audience engagement and deliver more commentary on the issues that matter to Australians.

Charlie Coe joins Sky News Australia in the newly created role of Commissioning Editor, SkyNews.com.au. Charlie manages a network of expert commentators and news-breakers to support the channel’s award-winning in-house team and provide analytical breakdowns of major stories as they break from people in the know around the world.

As part of the changes announced today, Zoe Zaczek has been promoted within the team to Deputy Editor and manages the team of reporters who write exclusive SkyNews.com.au stories.

Miriah Davis brings a wealth of experience to the team as new Digital Reporter, and Joe Huitson has been promoted from Digital Producer covering Sky News Australia’s video output, to Digital Reporter where he will write original articles for SkyNews.com.au.

The team of Digital Producers has added Demi Ball and Jeremy Blades to the network selecting and publishing more video content from the channel to distribute across the network’s suite of online assets including SkyNews.com.au, Facebook, YouTube and Sky News on Flash.

Sky News Digital Editor Jack Houghton said the appointments would drive further growth across SkyNews.com.au and video platforms.

Jack said:

“Deputy Editor Zoe Zaczek will hold a critical role in continuing to drive growth across our digital platforms by cultivating a multi-media experience on SkyNews.com.au. Our audiences now demand journalists tell stories across multiple mediums, combining long-form videos with written content and these appointments will ensure Sky News Australia keeps more people informed than ever before.”

Sky News Australia reaches more than nine million Australians each month, is the number one channel on Foxtel and is the country’s most-engaging TV news channel on social media.

SkyNews.com.au recently relaunched to better connect audiences with trusted news, analysis and insights that inform, advocate, and innovate for a stronger Australia. The website has doubled its unique audience since it relaunched just nine months ago, now delivering a readership of 2.8 million on average each month.

When combined with Sky News Australia’s global reach across platforms including YouTube and Facebook, where it has a higher reach than any other TV news channel page, Sky News Australia has emerged as one of the country’s most engaging multi-platform news services.

The new SkyNews.com.au website was built from the ground-up on News Corp Australia’s technical infrastructure and has joined the network’s publishing and ad-sales tech stack.
