Australia’s top weekly sporting catch-up program, Sports Sunday, is back for its sixth season this Sunday on Channel 9 and 9Now.
The panel open up with a recap of an incredible summer of sport and a preview of another bumper NRL season with Channel 9 commentator and Queensland Maroons coach Billy Slater. Over in the United States, Brad Blanks dials in to give his opinion on the hot topics in American sports.
In tennis, we review Australia’s performance against Hungary in their 2022 Davis Cup Qualifier in Sydney, and look at other key matches played this weekend in the lead-up to the finals later in the year. Plus, we have a new world No. 1 in Daniil Medvedev, but how long will he be able to fend off Nadal, Djokovic, and rising stars like Tsitsipas?
Our cricketers are touring Pakistan for the first time in 24 years and the panel will have the latest from the first test match in Rawalpindi, as well as the Women’s World Cup campaign in New Zealand.
Also, panellists James Bracey, Todd Woodbridge and Casey Dellacqua, and Stan Sport rugby commentator Sean Maloney, will join former test captain Mark Taylor to reflect on the life of cricketing legend Rod Marsh, who died on Friday.
