Her campmates didn’t just love her for what she could do with rice and beans, although that did help, and so did the contraband salt she snuck in.

Lucky for them it was the last day in camp because in Thursday night’s episode, Poh Ling Yeow was ejected from the so-called jungle, coming agonisingly close to the huge Grand Finale.

Poh’s ejection leaves us with the final six celebrities headed to Sunday’s live Grand Finale: Brooke McClymont, Dylan Lewis, Joey Essex, David Subritzky, Nathan Buckley and Emily Seebohm.

Coming into camp, Poh immediately endeared herself to the other celebrities and to Australia (as if we didn’t already love her enough). She gave a selfie from 16,000 feet, was chief conspirator in The David secret mission, and her infectious laugh could cheer up the hangriest of campmates.

Poh opened up about what it was like being a migrant in Australia, being raised in the Morman Church and the heartache it caused her family when she left, and shared her artistic gifts by sketching camp Pohtraits. Whether you know her as Poh or Sharon, it’s imPohsible not to eat up everything this incredible human dishes out.

Thursday nights episode was also the final trial of the season, so you know we were always going to let it rip. It’s all fun and games until the celebs learn that a McDonalds feast is on the line.

The celebrities, and special guest Dr Chris, raced from the bottom to the top of Mount Super Slide, trying to avoid obstacles along the way.

They had to reach and stay on a star before the wipe-out wave hit. If they lost their balance, they slid straight down into a bottomless (it could be – you don’t know!) murky dam.  The trialists were successful and enjoyed their last supper together before it was off to the Big Top for the final elimination challenge.

To avoid elimination, celebs silently counted to 60 seconds while being distracted. When they thought 60 seconds had passed, they pulled a lever only to have a pie splat them in the face. Poh, Emily and Nathan were furthest away and had to guess how many snakes were in a box. As you know, thanks to the headline of this news alert, Poh was the unlucky ejectee.
