We’ve done Panel, we’ve done Sports – let’s combine and see which Sports Panel Program will reign supreme.

You can vote in all 21 eligible categories ahead of the TV Boxies on November 28.

MOST POPULAR SPORTS PANEL PROGRAM FINALISTS

NRL SUNDAY FOOTY SHOW (Nine)

Since 1992, NRL’s Sunday Footy Show has been a staple to NRL coverage each season.

With Erin Molan at the helm, the two-hour program features special guests (including former and current players), previews of the weekend’s fixtures, highlights of the previous round, and interviews with those on the field.

The 2021 lineup featured Peter Sterling and Brad Fittler as panelists.

Dominating the East Coast, will the NRL’s dedicated Sunday show top the votes and win in this Sports Panel category?

AFL SUNDAY FOOTY SHOW (Nine)

Switching over to the AFL now, their dedicated Sunday Footy Show was introduced one year later, in 1993.

Hosted by Tony Jones, regular panellists in 2021 included Billy Brownless, Matthew Lloyd, Nathan Brown, Kane Cornes and Damian Barrett.

The Sunday Footy Show discusses the weekend’s matches so far, showing scores and highlights and interviews players from the sides that have played that round.

If the rest of Australia barring the East side dominates the voting, AFL’s dedicated Sunday programming might be the ultimate winner on November 28.

THE FRONT BAR (Seven)

After clocking up nominations in Light Entertainment and Panel, the third time might be the charm for The Front Bar with the Sports Panel category.

Sticking with the AFL, The Front Bar is presented by Mick Molloy, Sam Pang and Andy Maher, drinking until show time’s up, discussing all things AFL.

Whether you’re a diehard Carlton or Richmond supporter, Australia loves watching these three having a chat and a laugh about our homegrown sport.

SPORTS SUNDAY (Nine)

Hosted by James Bracey, Sports Sunday airs every Sunday with a panel of guests discussing the latest sports news both nationally, and around the world.

Journalist Neil Breen, former footballer Peter FitzSimons, netball player Liz Ellis and horse trainer Richard Freedman all join James in a regular spot on the show.

Sports Sunday presents a frank and open debate about all the issues in the week of sport, with the promise of heated opinion and a few laughs along the way.

As one of the only shows in this category that is presented all year round and not just coinciding with a footy season, perhaps Sports Sunday will take out the TV Boxie.

OFFSIDERS (ABC)

The ABC’s sports panel program has been a staple on the network since its inception in 2005.

Currently hosted by AFL commentator Kelli Underwood, the show also airs on Sunday morning, clashing with the aforementioned nominees.

A panel of writers, broadcasters, coaches and athletes assemble to look for meaning in the week’s major developments in sport, through in-depth analysis and lively debate.

A win for the ABC in this category would be a great feat when up against the highly popular free-to-air offerings on Seven and Nine.

It’s time to take your pick in the Most Popular Sports Panel Program category. And remember to tune in on November 28 to see who wins every single TV Boxie!
