Seven in the purplest of patches.
Home and Away (724,000) continues to rate well with its post-Games return for Seven, and LOTS of eyes tuned in for the “will it/won’t it get mentioned” Farmer Wants A Wife Reunion (828,000). The premiere of RFDS (604,000) enjoyed the lead-in boost (how will it go next week?…hopefully as good), while The Rookie (215,000) brought home the late night slot win.
Seven first in both primary (22.7%) and network (31.4%) rankings.
Nine pushing on with a strong A Current Affair (779,000) however The Block (633,000) slips only slightly on last night, which while good it came second in the slot…however this marathon is just warming up. The new season of Paramedics (421,000) fared reasonably well before the night split for a special edition of Footy Classified (148,000), with non-AFL states getting Australian Crime Stories (110,000).
Nine second in both primary (19.7%) and network (28.2%) rankings.
ABC lean into their Wednesday night comedy line-up after 7:30 (606,000), and Win the Week (367,000) (which has struggled to build an audience, due in no small part to stopping production for a couple of weeks due to COVID restrictions). The 13th season finale of Shaun Micallef’s Mad As Hell (532,000), ticked up into second in the slot, following through into the later evening line-up of Rosehaven (391,000), Would I Lie To You? (109,000), and a repeat of Staged (101,000).
ABC third in primary (11.2%) and fourth in network (15.9%) rankings.
10’s Wednesday is fast becoming a bit of a disaster zone. The Project (324,000 6:30pm; 530,000 7pm) was the only thing on the network to do reasonable numbers, and then a 90 minute special The Bachelor Australia (414,000) continues to be in all sorts of ratings trouble (let the double-ep burning off commence!). Double repeat eps of Bull (209,000; 150,000) did nothing to help.
10 fourth in primary (11%) and third in network (17%) rankings.
SBS deliver more documentaries, with repeats of Princess Diana’s Wicked Stepmother (174,000), Birdsville or Bust: Untold Stories (135,000), and Burger Wars: Burger King vs McDonalds (110,000).
SBS fifth in both primary (4.2%) and network (7.5%) rankings.
