HOUSE HUNTERS heads to Australia for special collection of episodes

Discovery is assembling a special line-up of House Hunters International episodes that follow home seekers who are after a new slice of life Down Under.

The special event House Hunters Down Under takes viewers on a journey from major cities or more remote locations, from Australia’s Sunshine Coast in Queensland, to Phillip Island in Victoria, to Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, and Palmerston North in picturesque New Zealand.

Hopeful renters and homeowners check out all kinds of architectural styles and locations, while navigating the sometimes-rough waters of buying real estate in other countries to find their new international home.

In double episodes weekly, the buyers must decide from three candidate houses or apartments to buy or rent, and viewers will be on the edge of their seats trying to figure out which place they’ll ultimately choose.

As this special event starts, having grown up without her mum, Kimberly Arnesen from Denver Colorado desperately wants to reconnect with her mother in Australia. When her husband, Arte, lands a job in Sydney, the whole family is onboard for the adventure. After not seeing her mum for 30 years though, this transition could be more than Kimberly had planned on for her family.

HOUSE HUNTERS DOWN UNDER airs Saturdays from 29 May at 7:30pm (AEST) on DISCOVERY

Discovery is available in Austalia on Foxtel and Fetch TV
