Seven’s Live coverage of the Melbourne Racing Club’s Caulfield Cup Carnival begins this weekend, launching off in style with Caulfield Guineas Day.
All eyes will be on Champion Mare Winx, as she takes the stage at Saturday’s Caulfield Guineas Day. Lining up against only two other competitors in the Group 1 2000m Caulfield Stakes, Winx will be chasing down her 12th consecutive win. The prestigious Caulfield Guineas Day sees four Group 1 events unfold – Caulfield Stakes, Caulfield Guineas, the Thousand Guineas and the Toorak Handicap.
Seven’s coverage will be hosted by Bruce McAvaney, with expert analysis from Simon Marshall and Simon O’Donnell and International Racing Expert Francesca Cumani. Jason Richardson has all the news from the mounting yard, with James Jordan on the ground providing form analysis. Neil Kearney and Jade Robran are reporting on the colour and characters from the track.
Neil will also be catching up with young Caulfield trainer Henry Dwyer who saddles up Leotie in the Thousand Guineas.
Then, on Saturday October 15, one of the world’s richest handicaps and one of the biggest races of the year, The Caulfield Cup is Live on Seven. Joining the team will be Colour Reporter Rachael Finch, who will be working down from the track, beside Neil and Jade.
As the free-to-air home of thoroughbred horseracing Seven broadcasts every major meeting on the Australian calendar including the Magic Millions, Sydney Easter Carnival, Stradbroke Handicap, WS Cox Plate, and the Melbourne Cup Carnival.
