Jimmy Kimmel hosts the 2016 Emmys Image – Academy of Television Arts & Sciences

It signals the start of the Fall TV season in the US & it’s American TV’s “night of nights”! (Look, it’s no Logies, but it’ll do).

Jimmy Kimmel steps in to host, and given his form in late night at the moment he’s sure to have some great material thanks to a crack writing team.

There’s also some shows with a bunch of nominations (The People v OJ Simpson – 13; Veep – 10; Game of Thrones – 9) and some newcomers looking to prove themselves in strong fields, so the battle will again be fierce in 2016.

The broadcast starts in Australia from 10am on FOX8. This post updates with winners as they’re announced.
