The BBC has today published a new trailer for the much anticipated reboot of Top Gear, but is yet to provide an airdate.

A BBC spokesperson has confirmed to DeciderTV that the new look series will definitely premiere this month on BBC Knowledge, but was unable to confirm a date or time. BBC Knowledge is available in Australia on Foxtel and Fetch TV

The new look Top Gear will be hosted UK Radio Host Chris Evans and  actor Matt LeBlanc, and will also feature a cast including Formula 1 commentator Eddie Jordan, world record-breaking German racing driver Sabine Schmitz, renowned motoring journalist and YouTube petrolhead Chris Harris, car reviewer and TV presenter Rory Reid, plus The Stig.

Today’s new trailer features vision of the latest Aston Martin Vulcan with Chris Harris at the wheel at the Abu Dhabi GP circuit. A McLaren 675 LT. A Ford Mustang driven by Rory doing a glorious, slow-motion burnout. Ariel’s Nomad in Morocco. A Viper and a Corvette with Sabine and Chris inside battling it out with roof-mounted guns.

That’s not all. There’s the new Audi R8 V10 Plus at Laguna Seca, Ferrari’s F12tdf doing what it does best in Mr Harris’s rather capable hands, and, um, a pair of Reliant Rialtos.
