Foxtel has confirmed for the first time in the history of the Next Top Model franchise anywhere in the world, contestants will be given a second chance at becoming Australia’s Next Top Model through posting a selfie on Instagram, Twitter or straight to the Australia’s Next Top Model Facebook page.
Host Jennifer Hawkins said, “Last season our social media campaign ‘Australia’s Next Top Selfie’ was massive. We collected tens of thousands of entries and the winner received their own full page in Cosmopolitan magazine.
This year we wanted to shake it up a bit and give the selfie concept a real twist. And what better way to do it than by giving one girl the chance to enter the competition simply by posting her hottest selfie.
“It’s really exciting that no matter where you are in Australia, or what circumstances may have prevented you from auditioning the first time around, there’s still an opportunity to enter and really win.”
The nationwide audition tour kicked off several weeks ago in Newcastle NSW and since then thousands of potential models have turned up in droves at venues across the country before officially finishing in Perth yesterday.
Girls who were unable to make it to auditions or feel they may have been overlooked the first time around have a second chance to enter by posting their best selfie with #antmselfie on Instagram, Twitter or by posting on the Australia’s Next Top Model Facebook page.
For one lucky girl, the chance of becoming Australia’s Next Top Model may now only be a selfie away with the winner being guaranteed a place on Series 9.
All entrants must be sixteen years or over and at least 172cm tall to enter. Entries close Monday September 1, 2014. Go to FOX8.tv for more details.
