The Block’s five Mount Eliza homes go under the hammer with $3.45 million reserves, a changing property market and a $50,000 advantage for one team.
The Block’s 2026 season reaches auction day this Sunday night, with five luxury homes heading under the hammer as the contestants discover whether months of renovations will translate into a big payday.
For the first time in the show’s history, buyers and viewers already know the reserve prices, with new Victorian laws requiring them to be revealed seven days before auction day. All five homes have reserves of $3.45 million, setting the scene for a different kind of finale.

The teams have also faced a challenging property market, with Domain National Managing Editor Alice Stolz pointing to falling house prices and interest rates at a 15-year high. While the finished homes have attracted praise, a successful auction is far from guaranteed.
Rick and Tayla have a head start after winning $50,000 off their reserve in the final week of the competition. The homes were also opened to thousands of potential buyers at Domain’s public inspections, held for the first time in three years.
With three homes in the Uptown precinct offering sweeping bay views and two Downtown properties featuring larger blocks, buyers will have five very different homes to consider.
Here’s a closer look at the five properties heading to auction.

House 1: Adam and Jolene
2 Mackillop Place, Mount Eliza
Adam and Jolene’s four-bedroom home is one of three properties in the Uptown precinct, where the homes offer views across Port Phillip Bay towards the Melbourne skyline. The couple will be hoping their finished renovation attracts buyers willing to meet the $3.45 million reserve.

House 2: Chantel and Wyatt
3 Mackillop Place, Mount Eliza
Chantel and Wyatt’s four-bedroom, three-bathroom home is also in Uptown, sharing the elevated position and bay outlook that distinguish the first three properties. They face the same $3.45 million reserve as the other teams, with the final result to depend on what buyers are prepared to pay.
