Five years after its final season, Wentworth is proving it still has plenty of pull, with fans returning to the prison drama ahead of its upcoming spin-off.
BINGE says viewing of the series is up 55 per cent year-on-year, making it the platform’s second most-watched series of 2026 so far, as interest builds ahead of Wentworth: Halfway Home.
All nine seasons of Wentworth are available to stream on BINGE and Foxtel, giving fans the chance to revisit the drama ahead of the new chapter which is scheduled to premiere exclusively on BINGE and Foxtel in late 2026.

Produced by Fremantle, the series premiered on Foxtel in 2013, reimagining the classic Australian series Prisoner before building an international following across more than 170 territories.
The series has also been a strong performer for Foxtel, with season one ranking as the platform’s fourth biggest Australian drama of all time. Seasons seven, eight and nine each went on to rank as Foxtel’s number one Australian drama during their initial runs.
As TV Blackbox previously reported, the long-rumoured spin-off was first teased in 2024 before being officially confirmed at the AACTA Awards earlier this year, with production now underway in Melbourne on Wentworth: Halfway Home.
The new series will follow Boomer after her release from prison, as she attempts to gain custody of her daughter and build a new life at Sal’s Halfway House. However, when a body turns up, Boomer is left questioning who she can trust in a house full of former inmates.
In the meantime, all nine seasons of Wentworth are available to stream on BINGE and Foxtel for those wanting to revisit the original series before the spin-off arrives.
