Kath & Kim is heading to YouTube, with the iconic Australian comedy launching an official channel dedicated to classic moments, fan favourites and brand new behind the scenes content.

A teaser for the new channel launched on Sunday, giving fans their first look at a dedicated destination for weekly compilations, iconic scenes and never before seen behind the scenes footage.

According to the channel description, new videos will be released weekly, with additional curated content also set to feature on the channel.

The Kath & Kim YouTube channel has been developed with Botanist Media, a YouTube Managed Partner that specialises in building, managing and growing digital channels for entertainment brands and other content owners.

In a LinkedIn post over the weekend, Botanist Media Managing Director Sav Yeldham shared the news, revealing the company had been working with the Kath & Kim team to bring the iconic series to YouTube.

Rather than offering full episodes, the channel will focus on curated content including classic clips, themed compilations, previously unseen behind the scenes footage and other archive material, with new uploads planned each week.

While all four seasons of Kath & Kim remain available to stream on ABC iview and Netflix in Australia, the YouTube channel will focus on curated clips, compilations and behind the scenes content instead of full episodes.

Originally premiering on ABC in 2002 before moving to Seven for its fourth and final season in 2007, Kath & Kim remains one of Australia’s most enduring television comedies, with its characters and quotable moments continuing to resonate more than two decades later.

The official Kath & Kim YouTube channel is available now, with new videos set to be released weekly.
