Paramount+ has lifted the lid on what’s coming to the streamer in 2026 at its Big Brother launch event at Dreamworld tonight, teasing a lean but lively lineup of new and returning content for Australian subscribers.

Leading the local charge are two brand-new Aussie dramas. Dalliance, from the producers behind Offspring and Tangle, follows the complex relationships of Sydney’s 60-something set, with Hugo Weaving and Heather Mitchell leading the cast, exploring love, loss and unexpected connections.

The previously announced Two Years Later stars Brenton Thwaites and Phoebe Tonkin in a post-lockdown romantic dramedy about two commuters who reconnect after a two-year separation and decide to embark on eight dates that will determine their future together.

Returning favourites will continue to bolster the homegrown offerings, with Last King of the Cross Season Three joining the 2026 slate, though little detail about the new season has been revealed.

Ghosts Australia Season One and Aussie Shore Season Two are both currently airing, so any possible renewals—including for local drama series Playing Gracie Darling, which has sold well internationally—are unlikely to be announced at this stage.

Meanwhile, there was no update on potential new seasons for Fake or further instalments of The Inspired Unemployed’s Impractical Jokers or The List, both of which were co-commissioned with Network 10, with Paramount+ seemingly focused on a curated selection of proven hits for next year.

Top Gear Australia also appears to have quietly been axed after not returning in 2025, which isn’t surprising given its mixed reception and the platform’s focus on other local hits.

Internationally, subscribers can expect more from Taylor Sheridan’s growing universe, including Y: Marshals, The Dutton Ranch, The Madison, and NOLA King, as well as the next chapter in the Star Trek franchise with Starfleet Academy.

Other returning favourites include The Gilded Age Season Four, Yellowjackets Season Four, Dexter: Resurrection Season Two, Michael Fassbender’s The Agency Season Two, and multiple NCIS spin-offs.

For film fans, Paramount+ promises big-ticket movies including Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, Scream 7, and family favourites like Smurfs and The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants. Kids’ programming will continue to feature classics such as Paw Patrol, Transformers: EarthSpark, Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Dora.

Sporting content also gets a boost in 2026. Paramount+ will continue as the home of Australian football while welcoming UFC to the platform from January, giving subscribers access to all Fight Nights and prelims for marquee numbered events.

Coverage of CommBank Matildas and Socceroos matches, Isuzu UTE A-League Men and Ninja A-League Women, plus the AFC Women’s Asian Cup 2026™ will also be included.

With a mix of local dramas, returning favourites, global hits, blockbuster films, kids’ content, and live sport, Paramount+ has set the stage for a busy 2026, even if the slate is slimmer than some fans might have hoped.

Subscribers can look forward to a curated mix of homegrown hits, international blockbusters, and live sports from January next year.
