Prime Video has officially greenlit Kaleb: Down Under (working title), a new four-episode series featuring Kaleb Cooper, the breakout star from the hit Prime Video series Clarkson’s Farm.
The new series will see the no-nonsense farming contractor swap the rolling fields of Chipping Norton for the sunburnt landscapes of Australia, as he embarks on his first-ever solo trip — and first-ever flight.
Kaleb says he’s ready to find out what life is like on the other side of the world.
“I spend most of my time with the most travelled man in the world, so I got brave and booked my first ever flight to see what all the fuss was about,” he said.
“Australia here I come! And Australia, you’ll be gaining a new farmer for a couple of months as I discover if I can make my farming contracting business go international.”
Kaleb Cooper
Across four episodes, Kaleb: Down Under will follow his attempts to grow his business and learn from his Australian peers while tackling farming on a scale he’s never experienced before — with thousands of acres of land and conditions far removed from his familiar patch in the UK.
And there’ll be no easy ride. Expect blisters, backaches and plenty of banter, as Kaleb immerses himself in Aussie farm life, getting his hands dirty while discovering how local farmers adapt to one of the toughest agricultural environments on the planet.
Tara Erer, Head of Northern Europe Originals at Amazon MGM Studios, said the new series would give fans plenty to look forward to.
“Kaleb Cooper has won our hearts with his no-nonsense farming wisdom and unmistakable charm.”
“Seeing him swap his beloved Chipping Norton for the vast Australian outback promises brilliant entertainment as he encounters farming on a whole new scale.”
Produced by DRAGONFLY (a Banijay UK company), filming will begin this spring.
